Your data stays on your machine
Browser Assistant is a Chrome extension. It does not create an account, does not run analytics, and does not sync to a cloud service. This page is the whole policy.
Where data is stored
Tabs, folders, tasks, notes, workspaces, wishlists and settings are written to a JSON file on your computer by a small native-messaging host (Node.js), typically at Documents/BrowserAssistant/data.json. If the host is not installed yet, changes sit in chrome.storage.local until it connects. You can export and import that JSON from Settings.
Network requests
The only network requests the extension makes are to product pages you added to the wishlist, so it can re-read the price. Sites that block those background checks stay blocked unless you grant them in Settings — in that case the price updates when you visit the page yourself.
What we do not collect
No telemetry, no crash reports, no advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics. This marketing site is static: it does not set cookies or talk to a database.
